Stolen photos and breeder impersonation scams
What happened
A documented scam pattern. Scammers copy photos, kennel names and even the identity of real, registered breeders to look legitimate. The same puppy pictures turn up across multiple sites and Facebook profiles. Some go as far as cloning a genuine breeder's whole identity, which is why reputable breeders sometimes find their own photos being used to defraud buyers. Protect yourself: reverse image search any photo you are sent, because a recycled image is a red flag, and insist on a live video call with the animal and the seller holding their ID and a paper showing today's date. Confirm the breeder directly with KUSA rather than trusting the details in the advert.
