QR-code payment scams in pet sales
What happened
A documented scam pattern. A "seller" or "buyer" sends a QR code to scan for a quick payment or a "refund", but the code authorises money out of your account or leads to a phishing page. Never scan a payment QR code from a stranger, and remember that receiving money never requires you to scan a code or approve anything. Pay only through channels you initiate yourself.
