The "payment is on its way, please release" instant-EFT scam
What happened
A documented scam pattern. A buyer claims to have sent an instant EFT and shares a reference or "pending" confirmation, urging you to release the pet before the money reflects. The transfer is fake, reversed, or never made. Do not act on "pending" or "on its way" messages. Wait until your bank confirms the funds are genuinely in your account and cannot be reversed before parting with anything.
