Fake proof-of-payment (POP) scams
What happened
A documented scam pattern targeting sellers. A "buyer" sends a screenshot or PDF "proof of payment" and pressures you to hand over the pet or goods immediately, saying the EFT "just needs time to reflect". The proof is forged and no money is coming. A screenshot is not payment. Only release an animal or item once the funds have actually cleared and shown up in your own bank account, never on the strength of a POP image, however genuine it looks.
