Fake animal-charity and injured-animal donation scams
What happened
A documented scam pattern. Fake "rescues" post distressing photos of injured, skinny or sick animals and beg followers to donate for food, vet care or a rescue mission, sometimes reusing stolen images from real cases. The money goes to the scammer. Before donating, verify the organisation is a registered NPO with a real presence, donate through official channels rather than a personal e-wallet or crowdfunding link in a comment, and be wary of urgency and emotional pressure.
