Finally, invest in quality nutrition from the start. A food formulated specifically for puppies of your dog's expected adult size will support proper bone and muscle development. Speak to your vet about the right amount to feed — overfeeding large-breed puppies can contribute to developmental joint conditions. With patience, consistency, and plenty of love, your puppy will grow into a wonderful companion.
